Swikmo’s Passion

From about the age of three I had already developed an undeniable fascination for the free living world around me and soon became infatuated with frogs and other amphibians. As I grew so did my captivation for other pond-dwelling organisms, especially turtles and snakes. By the age of twelve my desire to keep various species of herps in captivity had grown immensely. What started as a kind of “Noah’s Ark” collection has since been honed to an extensive collection of mostly large pythons and boas. It would be very difficult to describe just how I ended up settling on boids as my primary focus within the world of herpetology. However, one thing is for certain, I have developed a never-ending fascination and respect for these magnificent creatures. I feel working directly with these animals on a daily basis has brought me one step closer to contentment and true happiness in my life. Over the years I have developed relationships with my animals based on respect and compassion for each and every individual. Taking pride in what I do is very important to me and this means providing the very best living conditions and overall care for each individual within my collection.

Sincerely,
Nick Helble a.k.a. Swikmo
